🐾 Our First Play Group & Dog Walking Seminar Was a Success! 🐾
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Play Group & Dog Walking Seminar! We had a wonderful turnout and loved spending time with so many people who are passionate about helping shelter animals.
We hope you’ll continue to join us as we grow our Dog Walking and Play Group Volunteer Team! Every walk, every play session, and every positive interaction helps improve the lives of the dogs in our care. ❤️
If you weren’t able to make this seminar, don’t worry! We hope to offer another one soon. In the meantime, you’re always welcome to volunteer alongside our staff and learn more about the many ways we’re working to make life better for the animals at the Animal Shelter of Sullivan County.
A special shout-out and thank you to Lukas Gray for leading this class and sharing the knowledge and skills he has gained through his work and training with DPFL. We are grateful for his willingness to help educate our volunteers and support our mission of providing the best possible care for the dogs at our shelter. 👏🐶

A huge thank you to shelter leadership, staff, volunteers, and EVERYONE both experienced and brand new who made this happen and came out with open minds and a passion for these animals. It was a pleasure meeting everyone and passing on a passion project that reaches beyond the kennel doors!

She is working on leash manners but has enjoyed a bath, and some outings so far. 🐾
She is eligible for our Silver Whiskers program to help with vet costs. 💰

Operation Safe Pet microchipping kits are now in the hands of Bristol City patrol officers! 🐾 We are so thankful for our partnership with Bristol City and their Animal Control team.
These scanners will help more lost pets get identified quickly and reunited with their families faster. Microchips are such an important tool because collars and tags can fall off, but a microchip is permanent and can help shelters, veterinarians, and animal control officers find an owner when a pet is lost. ❤️
We also offer microchipping services at the Animal Shelter of Sullivan County by appointment! If you would like to get your pet microchipped, please visit our website for an appointment 🌐animalshelter-sullivancounty.org
Every microchip gives a lost pet a better chance of making it back home safely.
