Hello, all! My family found them wandering on Walnut Hill Rd (near the intersection of Island Rd) and kept them safe over the weekend until the Sullivan County animal shelter took them in. These dogs seem to be a bonded pair. We fear they were dumped out. If no previous owner comes forward, it would be so wonderful if someone could adopt them together ❤️
Look at those sweet eyes. 🥺 She looks so lost, and honestly, we can’t blame her. The shelter can be a very overwhelming and terrifying place for a dog like Jackie. Everything is unfamiliar—the sounds, the smells, the people, the constant activity. She doesn’t understand why she’s here or what happened to turn her world upside down.
Right now, Jackie needs more than someone to simply walk past her kennel. She needs someone willing to be patient with her. Someone who will sit with her, give her time, speak softly to her, and show her that she is safe. Someone who will let her learn, at her own pace, that not all humans are scary. ❤️
We truly believe there is a sweet girl underneath all that fear. She just needs the opportunity to feel safe enough to let that side of her shine.
Jackie doesn’t need perfection. She needs TLC, patience, understanding, and someone willing to earn her trust. 🐾
She is not fixed yet. She came in with multiple dogs so she is dog friendly. We will do a foster to adopt with her until with we get her spayed. We encourage anyone who is interested to come see her! ❤️
