Sweet Sassy is only 4 years old and just 26 pounds. She came to the shelter with her siblings after her dad was hospitalized with cancer. π
Her sisters have all been adopted, and now Sassy is here alone. She doesnβt understand why theyβre gone, and sheβs still looking for them. π
Sassy is feeling scared and alone, and what she needs most right now is someone to show her that she isnβt alone anymore. Someone to give her patience, love, and a safe place to decompress.

We had a wonderful visitor today! Sullivan County, TN Sheriff's Office stopped by to check on the pups they helped rescue. It meant so much to see them come back and see how theyβre doing.
Today weβre celebrating ALL the dogs who have touched our lives β the goofy ones, the snuggly ones, the wild ones, the shy ones, and every dog in between. β€οΈ
Weβre so grateful for every dog who has come through our doors and trusted us to care for them. Watching them grow, heal, learn, and find their people is what makes what we do so special. πΆ
Hereβs to every dog weβve loved, cared for, and cheered on! πΎβ€οΈ
Over the past two days, weβve taken in 15 dogs from a home in Kingsport. Our Animal Control Officers have been to this residence before, and weβve helped dogs from the same home in the past.
This time, the dogs were in much worse condition than we had seen previously. Itβs clear they have been struggling over the past several months, and right now, our biggest concern is getting them the care they need and helping them get back on their feet.
We are incredibly thankful to the Sullivan County Sheriffβs Department for working alongside us to safely get these dogs out and into our care. Weβre all working together to give these babies a chance to heal and hopefully find better days ahead.
With 15 dogs coming in at once, the medical and nutritional needs add up quickly. They will need veterinary care, medications, good food, and plenty of TLC. At this time these dogs are not available for adoption.
